Multimedia - Multimedia Classrooms

Room LH 08 is equipped with a multimedia podium that includes a computer, monitor, and VCR. This room has an Panasonic ceiling projector that can be operated via a remote control.

Instructions For General Podium

1. Open podium cabinet doors and TURN MAIN POWER SWITCH ON. Switch will light up. NOTE: Keyboard door will not open correctly unless cabinet doors are either completely open or closed.
2. Turn on computer. Log on with either your on username and password or with the username "classroom" and password "professor".

3. Turn on projector with the remote control.

4. When you are done using this equipment, please shut down the computer and projector, and then turn off the main power. Lock podium.

Sound

1. To hear sound from computer, move toggle switch on amplifier to "COMP".

2. To hear sound from VCR, move toggle switch on amplifier to "VCR".

3. Adjust volume on amplifier's "AUX" and "Master Volume".

Instructions For Laptop Setup

1. Open podium cabinet doors and TURN MAIN POWER SWITCH ON. Switch will light up.

2. Plug laptop into power outlet on side of podium.

3. Connect VGA cable (stored on top shelf) to laptop. Connect the other end o the face plate on top of the podium.

4. If needed, connect network cable (stored on top shelf) to laptop and to face plate.

5. If needed, connect sound cable (stored on top shelf) to laptop and face plate.

6. Turn on laptop.

7. Turn on projector with remote control.

8. When you are done using this equipment, please return all cables to the podium and turn off the main power. Lock podium.
